The popular beach town of Tamarindo is an easy ten-minute walk from Naturalia’s main gate and is home to a variety of restaurants, shops and services, including banks, travel agencies and supermarkets.  Tamarindo’s three-kilometer white sand beach is a favorite among surfers, sunbathers, beachcombers and anglers alike.  The southern end of the beach is only 500 meters from the Naturalia site, accessible via a well-marked trail between the neighboring hotel developments.

The Daniel Oduber International Airport in the provincial capital of Liberia receives over 40 regularly scheduled flights per week from major US and Canadian hubs.  From Liberia, it is a mere 45-minute drive to Naturalia.  Those who arrive at the Juan Santamaria International Airport in San Jose can connect to frequent regional flights to Tamarindo offered by local airlines Sansa and Nature Air.

The Tamarindo-Langosta area enjoys warm temperatures averaging 85 degrees Fahrenheit year-round, with significantly less humidity than coastal regions to the south.  During “green season” from May to November, sunny mornings give way to refreshing tropical showers in the afternoon that terminate in spectacular sunsets.
