The Naturalia Luxury Residences are perfectly situated between two of the most beautiful beaches in Costa Rica’s Guanacaste province - Playa Langosta and Playa Tamarindo - and offer easy access to the region’s most popular attractions.
Playa Langosta is an upscale residential enclave featuring beachfront estate homes, five-star boutique hotels, gourmet restaurants and a rocky coastline dotted with small pockets of sandy beaches. Surfers flock to the excellent break at the mouth of the estuary located at the south end of the main beach.
The neighboring town of Tamarindo is a bustling social and commercial center, home to a growing population of ex-pats from the United States, Canada, Argentina and Western Europe. Lively bars and restaurants line the beachfront, while modern shopping centers featuring banks, travel agencies, internet cafes and other services have sprung up along the main route into town. Tamarindo’s three-kilometer white sand beach is one of the most extensive in the region and is favored by experienced surfers, sunbathers and beachcombers alike. Many visitors to Tamarindo take in its signature sunsets with a horseback ride along the beach or an inshore sailboat charter.
To the immediate north of Tamarindo lies Playa Grande, home of the Las Baulas National Park and one of the world’s most important nesting sites for leatherback turtles. These impressive creatures, which can weigh up 1000 pounds, come to the shore by the thousands between the months of October and March to lay their eggs.
The calm waters off of Costa Rica’s “Gold Coast” are legendary among big game sport fishers. Given Tamarindo’s close proximity to the continental shelf, it is a short run time to fishing grounds where species such as Pacific sailfish, marlin, tuna, roosterfish, snapper, grouper, mahi-mahi and wahoo abound. Many experienced charter companies are based in Tamarindo and offer complete half and full-day fishing packages on a year-round basis.
Two world-class golf courses are within an easy drive of the Naturalia community. The closest facility lies five kilometers to the south within the Hacienda Pinilla complex: a 7,300 yard, par-72 course designed by Mike Young, which offers challenging play and spectacular natural scenery. Fifteen kilometers to the north, golfers will delight in the par-71 championship course at Reserva Conchal designed by Robert Trent Jones II. Both courses permit outside play and also offer annual guest memberships to local area residents. |
